Sirius Idaho Theatre, Fall 2006 - Spring 2007

In the fall of 2006, I re-designed a webpage for a local theatre company, Sirius Idaho Theatre. I designed the website thinking they would actually want to use it eventually, but I never thought I would be the one who would replace the old one with the new one.

In January, my good friend, John Dickinson, (who co-founded the company) went missing following a car accident that took place on a bridge. The whole community grieved, but also knew that the theatre company must continue because John was so passionate about it. Many people have offered their time and talents to the company. I offered to take on the website along with designing posters for the plays.

And so the adventure began. This semester I have worked through and completed a large puzzle. No one knew the passwords or had access to the website that John updated for the theatre company. Once I figured out that DotEasy was the host, I got in contact with them. After understanding the situation, they gave me instructions on how to obtain the password and login. This ended up taking several months (a large portion of the semester). I worked on collecting different documents, (which had to be re-sent because they were originally sent un-notarized).

In April, I finally received the login information, and switched the old webpage to the one I had created. The site has come a long way from my original one. I have updated it, made it more professional, and completed a list of changes that a board member suggested. I am pleased with my accomplishment, but I also realize this will be an ongoing project.
